Objectives
- Development and implementation of prenatal and postnatal awareness and support programs (early intervention) for children with Down syndrome.
- Prevention of abandonment of newborns with Down syndrome.
- Training and support for parents, families and relatives of people with Down syndrome.
- Supporting the development of individual potential, talent, creativity and skills of people with Down syndrome.
- Development and implementation of measures to improve the quality of inclusive education for children and young people with Down syndrome.
- Supporting access to quality specialized developmental training, tailored to the individual needs of people with Down syndrome.
- Supporting the process for appropriate professional realization of people with Down syndrome.
- Raising awareness about the specific characteristics of people with Down syndrome Down.
- Supporting the social integration and personal fulfillment of people with Down syndrome, as well as overcoming their discrimination.
- Building a system for assisted “independent” living for people with Down syndrome.
Activities
- Campaign “Help Me Be Accepted” — promotes real inclusive education, not just formal compliance with the law.
- Project “I Will Help You Help Yourself” — online psychological support for families raising a child with Down Syndrome.
- Information materials “About Down Syndrome with Love” — explain common myths and facts about the syndrome.
- Club “Everyone Can” — meetings and activities for development, exchange of experience and communication between children and families.
- Events and meetings that promote inclusion and social activity around March 21, International Day of People with Down Syndrome.
