We, the parents from the Plovdiv community of the “Anyone Can” club of the “Up with Down” Foundation, often look for places where our wonderful children with Down Syndrome can feel completely accepted, free and happy. This past weekend gave us exactly that – a magical adventure in the heart of the mountain, which will warm our hearts for a long time.
At the invitation of the founder of the “Wild Rhodopes” ranch – the incredible Andon Baturov, we organized an exciting escape from the city life and immersed ourselves in the magic of the mountain.
A day filled with pure joy and adventure
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Andon and his team with so much warmth and hospitality that we immediately felt at home. They had prepared a program that brought the purest children’s smiles. We experienced moments that are difficult to describe in words:
The meeting with the horses: Our children had the unique opportunity to touch these noble animals. For them, this was not just fun, but real therapy – the feeling of stroking the horse, feeling its calmness and overcoming fear is an invaluable step in their development.
Emotional pickup truck ride: This definitely became the hit of the day! The laughter that filled the mountain during the off-road pickup truck ride through the rugged terrain of the ranch proved to us once again that our children love adventures and adrenaline.
Trampoline games: There was no room for limitations on the big trampoline at the ranch. The jumps and fun games lasted for a long time, and the happiness in the eyes of our little ones was the greatest reward for us as parents.
Nature walks: Together, hand in hand, we made wonderful hiking trips. We breathed the clean Rhodope air, admired the views and were simply together – one big, close-knit family.
Thank you for your kind heart!
As a community, at the “Anyone Can” club, we work tirelessly to ensure that our children are visible, socialize, and live fully. But we know that we don’t have to be alone in everything. That’s why our visit to the Wild Rhodopes Ranch proved that when we meet people with big hearts like Andon Baturov, barriers simply disappear.
Andon shared with us his admiration for the strength of our children and assured us that this is just the beginning of a long and beautiful friendship.
We left the Rhodopes with tired bodies, but purified souls, full of new strength, wonderful photos, and most of all – with the promise that we will soon return there again, under the Rhodope sky, where our children proved once again that truly everyone can be happy.
