Yesterday was an indescribably wonderful day!
My heart and soul are full and rejoicing! ❤
Yesterday we were one – children with and without Down syndrome, parents and their relatives, students, teachers, pupils, athletes, animators… people who came to be together ❤
Yesterday we were together not only in body, but mostly in spirit.
Radiating acceptance, warmth and joy… Yesterday was a dream come true! ❤
I captured in me the happy smiles and ringing laughter of children as they draw, chase, pass a ball, play, dance, eat, communicate with each other and with others. 😍
I sealed in me the eyes of their relatives – mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandmothers…
Eyes shining with (tears of) happiness, gratitude and hope.
It’s great to make your dreams come true!
But to fulfill the dreams of an entire community, apart from happiness and great satisfaction, also carries a considerable responsibility.
I am fully aware that we have a lot of work ahead of us, but yesterday’s experience proved to me once again that we are not alone!
The birth of EVERYONE CAN Club is a gift not only for children with Down syndrome and their families. This is a gift for our entire society, for all of Bulgaria.
Because EVERYONE CAN Club is another step forward towards true acceptance. Acceptance beyond diagnoses, prejudices and clichés. Acceptance with the heart and with the belief that everyone can be happy the way they are! ❤
